About African Future University

Fully online African digital university with French and English pathways.

Overview

African Future University’s tuition-free online PGCert in Doctoral Supervision (African Time Zones) is for academics and practitioner-supervisors who must support doctoral candidates across GMT to EAT, with load-shedding and shared connectivity. You will practise feedback, progress review, and bilingual (EN/FR) supervision notes that still work when a tracked-changes file is too heavy for prepaid data. The certificate is not a PhD and does not automatically appoint you as a supervisor at another university. Rural and part-time candidate cases are required because most African doctoral study is not a full-time campus year. Capstones are a supervision protocol, not a ghost-written thesis. Aside from the examination fee, tuition is not charged.

Delivered fully online with live seminars, recorded lectures, and tutor support.
